Announced at Computex, MSI's low-cost laptop dubbed simply Wind seems to be already facing a few problems due to component shortages. While the 10-inch LCD-equipped U100 model was expected to already be hitting the stores in the US, it is now slated to become available, in limited numbers from June 27.
지난 컴퓨텍스에서 그 모습을 드러낸 MSI의 저가 노트북인 Wind가 부품 수급에 벌써부터 애를 먹고 있는 상황이다. 10인치 LCD가 장착된 U100모델은 이미 북미 시장에 그 모습을 드러냈어야 하지만 이제는 6월 27일 이후에나 그 모습을 볼 수 있다고 한다.
As detailed on MSI's online shop, in addition to selling just one laptop per customer, the company was forced to include a 3-cell battery instead of the promised 6-cell one with the Windows XP models. Playing fair though, MSI is offering the 3-cell Wind U100 for $479, $20 lower than the expected price tag of the 6-cell U100. Hopefully, the Wind shortage will ease up next month
MSI 온라인 숍에 자세한 사항이 나와 있듯이 한 소비자당 단지 하나의 노트북만을 팔 수 있게 해 놓은것 외에도 이 회사는 윈도우 XP모델에 원래의 계획인 6셀 베터리 대신 3셀 베터리를 장착할 가능성이 크다. 다행히도 MSI는 3셀 베터리를 장착하면서 원래보다 20불 낮은 479불에 제품을 내놓을 예정이다. Wind의 공급 부족이 내달에는 풀리기를 희망해 본다
